This is the worst war we’ve ever seen. And they’re getting away with it.

The late journalist Marie Colvin, as written in a personal obituary penned by Channel 4’s Lindsey Hilsum. Colvin, a reporter for the Sunday Times, was one of two western journalists killed after the shelling of a neighborhood in Homs, Syria on Wednesday. [Channel 4] (via producermatthew)

When you don’t have many friends and you don’t have a social life you’re kind of left looking at things, not doing things. There’s a weird freedom in not having people treat you like you’re part of society or where you have to fulfill social relationships.

This is what happens when I attempt “poetry.”

A GAME OF CLUE

Jane Austen in the library

with a candlestick and a match.

A hundred thousand fangirls

trapped

in a secret room

behind the shelves.

"Oh, no" one said

and looked down

at the kerosene soaked rope

winding its way across the floor.

This was not what The Doctor had in mind

when he offered Jane

a spin in the TARDIS.

"We’re in the library, Jane. Think of the books!"

"Oh, I am Doctor. I am."
